“I Watched Every Spielberg Movie – Now I Wish I Hadn’t”

His point about Spielberg’s inability to direct comedy (and actors) is potent.

  1. Wow, this guy ranks E.T., Jaws, Close Encounters, Raiders, and Jurassic Park as the best.

I have no interest in those movies. Even Jurassic Park, which is lovable, is so broken it can’t be defended. The last time we tried to watch Raiders, we turned it off halfway through.

I love Catch Me If You Can. I really like watching Hanks and DiCaprio together in that film. And Walken is incredibly good in it.

Minority Report is fun as heck, but it’s a prophesy movie, so all it can ever do is prove how clever it is.

Running over his list of films, I kept thinking, “oh yeah, that movie.” The only time I thought, “hey, I love that movie,” was with Catch Me If You Can.

I’m going to start spreading the rumor that Spielberg directed Rounders.
