Can’t Doodle In Class/Meetings With This

This Kickstarter has met it’s goal, nearly octupled it as I write this, and they still have 30 days to go. This is a fun, gimmicky project that will probably only be useful for engineers, and kids for a day. The 3Doodler is a 3D printer and pen mashed together.

They sell it a bit better than I do, but I’m a cynical bastard. They’ve given some prototypes to artists that have used them to create Etsy projects and art pieces.

So it has more applications, but I don’t know how strong the plastic is. These are clearly pieces that are meant to be on display and if you have kids, good luck buddy. The jewelry has to have a bit of durability, jewelry isn’t rock solid, but it needs to last.

It’s a cool idea and it will be neat to see these in Michael’s arts and crafts stores in a year or two.
